Michael Mazzoni started his career as a financial advisor and thrived in strategic marketing for 25 years. Fueled by international connections, and travels around the world, Mazzoni was seated first row when it came to observing what were the rituals in the most refined environments to welcome guests and make them feel comfortable, even in the most remote places, when you need to feel a sense of home.

Despite the excitement and adrenaline he experienced in the finance world, Mazzoni decided he needed a much deserved break and chose to reconnect with his family history and roots. First on the list, his grandmother, Mireille, born in 1926, who lived through the 20th century with the fear of her family being spread out and the joy of being gathered again.

This very special bond marked Mazzoni memories since he was a kid. The Sunday lunches in the South of France, gazing at the sun through the leaves of palm trees. Simple cuisine, delicious flavors, animated conversations, and laughter. Mireille was the master of a weekly ceremony that was everything but ceremonial. She paid attention to details, as she paid attention to her guests. Sometimes a fresh flower stem on a napkin holder, sometimes some silk bow tied on a crystal wine glass… anything could be a sign of her caring love and discretion.

And this is where Mazzoni's new adventure started. As a tribute to Mireille, as if the objects he would create could somehow be displayed on her Sunday lunch table and create the laughter, and the noise and the conversations, all over again.
